Chief Kola Akinbami is a West African Chief, Businessman, Global Thought Leader, Author, and Philanthropist. He is known as a notable entrepreneur that holds two chieftaincy titles – Babalaje of Ifewara and Babalaje of Gbongan, Osun State.

Currently, Chief Kola Akinbami holds the position of Chairman at Cellini Investments Limited, Infohub Limited, National Post, Mangrove Reporters, New Port Estates Limited, Education Development Limited and Vice Chairman of Stabilini Visinoni Limited, Bi-Courtney Limited, Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Limited, Homan Engineering Nigeria Limited, and Port Harcourt.
Born in 1944, he is the youngest son of the late Chief Thophilus Adunola Akinbami, Ekefa, Olufi of Gbongan. He attended St Stephen School Inalende, Ibadan, St Paul’s School, Gbongan, and proceeded to Government College Ibadan in 1958. He obtained his West African School Certificate and Higher School Certificate in 1962 and 1964 respectively.
In 1965, he won a United States Agency International Development (USAID) Scholarship to study Biochemistry at the University of Illinois, where he obtained Bachelor Science Degree (Biochemistry) with honors.
In 1970, he joined Harvard University Medical School as a Researcher at Massachusetts General Hospital. While at Harvard University Medical School, he conducted in-depth research on blood clotting factors – Factor V, Prothrombin, and Thrombin. He coauthored several medical journal publications on Factor V, Prothrombin, and Thrombin.
In 1975, he enrolled at Suffolk University Business School, where he obtained his MBA, specializing in Finance and Marketing.
From 1984 – 1990, he served as Executive Director of Pfizer International Inc, a subsidiary of Pfizer Inc, New York, USA
In 1990, he originated Cellini Investments Limited, which has interests in Commercial and Residential Construction, Civil Engineering, Petroleum Property Development, and Telecommunications.
In 1992, Billionaire Attorney and Businessman Dr. Wale Babalakin (SAN)
invited him to join Stabilini Visinoni Limited as Executive Chairman. And, Dr. Wale Babalakin later appointed Chief Kola Akinbami as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer. While at Stabilini Visinoni Limited, Chief Kola Akinbami has executed various projects including Muritala Mohammed Airport Terminal 2 (MMA2) ; Chartered Bank Limited Head Office, Danmole Street, Victoria Island; Lima Towers; Punch Place ; and NECA Building, Afribank Street, Victoria Island.
